About us

A wee bit of history:

Skylark Public Relations was born in 2010 with the aim of creating a boutique PR firm that offers a bespoke service and no-nonsense advice, based on years of hard-earned PR experience.

We also wanted to build a business that enabled us to work around our children, rather than have to pretend they didn’t exist. We believe we’ve done this, and make no apologies or compromises. We’ve found, somewhat to our surprise, that rather than cause problems, our clients have respected the way we work and we’ve realised that, guess what, clients have families too!

The Team

Skylark PR is Lisa Mennie and Pauline Gregory. We met at another agency, hit it off and decided we’d have much more fun on our own. And we were right! Between us, we have many years of PR experience under our belts, gained across many sectors. We’ve both worked in-house as well as for agencies. We’ve seen the industry change from offline print to online and social media, and worked with it rather than against it. We’re not a press release ‘factory’ and look at creative solutions that fit our clients. We’ve got great relationships with journalists from across all sectors, and these relationships have been nurtured over the years so that we’re trusted and respected.

Pauline’s got a diverse range of client experience under her belt from corporate to retail to public sector.  She’s  developed campaigns for Downtown Space and Helical Bar; the Scottish Government’s Drugs Awareness Campaign (Know the Score); Yell;  ASDA Wal-Mart, John Lewis and many more.

Lisa specialises in the property sector – in particular commercial property – but is sometimes allowed out to do other things and has wide-ranging experience in other business areas, including the drinks industry;  charitable organisations and event creation.

Oh, and just in case you were wondering: the Skylark historically represented optimism and positivity. When we set up Skylark we’d both been through the mill and it just fitted somehow. We run our business with optimism and an endeavour to do our best for our clients, usually with a smile.
